Walk 100 Miles Website

Client: Metro NashvilleDate: March, 2011

Instead of talking the talk when it came to public health, Nashville Mayor Karl Dean decided to walk the walk.

The Mayor's office wanted to issue a new health challenge to the city for everyone to walk 100 miles individually. They contacted us to help them create a site that needed to do more than what an average Word Press site could do. We designed a tool where each user could create their own profile and log their miles daily. They were also informed about upcoming sponsored walks and could locate walk sites.

The Results

Within 2 months, the site recorded over 6,000 users and logged over 105,000 miles walked by Nashvillians. The initiative was covered by all of the major media outlets in the city. Not only was the program successful, it has been duplicated by other cities as well.
